Neterium obtains the ISO 27001 certification

Neterium, the API-native company, is off to a flying start in 2023 after obtaining the ISO 27001 security certification. This formal recognition is hard evidence of the effective implementation of a state-of-the-art information security management system and the exemplification of Neterium's philosophy since its creation.

Focused on one single mission, offering a next-generation watchlist screening engine, Neterium has built and operates an API-native screening engine which is unique in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, scalability, analytics, and flexibility but also in terms of data security. As a testimony to the company's commitment to protecting data privacy, Neterium engine does not store personal data. Rather, the team has become an expert at building sophisticated AI models based only on metadata, derived and synthetic data.

Through its ISO27001 certification, Neterium demonstrates that it has established and maintains an information security management system according to the industry-leading requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 "Information Security Management System" for all the organisation’s processes and information systems to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our customers', partners', and Neterium's information as well as Neterium's Software-as-a-Service platform and the Jetscan and Jetflow software.

Security is a key pillar of Neterium's culture and - under the leadership of Neterium’s CISO Kevin Kok - all company employees were fully engaged in the Information Security Management System to ensure a successful result.

Luc Meurant, CEO of Neterium, explains: "Founded in 2017, our mission at Neterium is to reinvent Financial Crime Prevention and respond to the explosion of market demand for highly performant, scalable, and efficient watchlist screening solutions. Even more than before, Financial Crime Compliance is today a massive challenge: Financial Services firms spend over $180.9 billion per year on Financial Crime compliance, while less than 1% of global illicit financial flows are actually prevented, and a lot of friction is created for the customers. Neterium obtaining the ISO 27001 certification is a token of Neterium’s commitment to offering state-of-the-art security and another evidence of Neterium’s robustness. We strive to offer ever better services to our customers, and to build an open, engaged and diverse Neterium users community."
